'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.' Acts 2:17-21 NKJV
Yesterday, I spent much of my waking moments in prayer. Prayer for all those that I want to reach for the Lord. I know that I cannot do it alone, but some days I wonder whether I am doing enough. I don't know if all the praying and emotions that went along with them, caused me to get one of my migraines or not, but I went to sleep in the afternoon, because that is my only remedy for one. While I was sleeping, character after character in my dreams told me to read the book of Acts. So I am.
Now if I weren't faithful in the Lord's promises and God's ability to do ANYTHING, that might freak me out a little bit. But I don't find it strange at all, that God should answer my prayers in a dream. You see the book of Acts is all about MANY people spreading His Good News. Not just one. (Though Peter does reach about 3,000 on the day of Pentecost.) The book of Acts states that the Holy Spirit came upon all the believers that were together on that day, and that the loud sound created by all of them speaking in tongues caused the multitude to come forth. This was why there were even that many people within range to hear what Peter had to say.
I must be ever mindful that while I want to reach everyone, I cannot do it alone. God knows the plans He has for me, and everyone else. I will reach whom I am to reach. May He guide me in all my ways. Thank You, Lord for Your Provision and for answering prayer.
There is no MORE to this post.

God bless the soul with sunny heart
ReplyDeleteWho brightens up each day
By spreading seeds of cheerfulness
While traveling on life's way.
God bless her for the stars of hope
She sets in one's sky;
For the encouragement she gives
That causes folk to try...
With stronger faith to press ahead,
With courage for a mate,
And reach for goals and build anew,
And smile and challenge fate.
God bless her laughter and her song
That drives dark clouds away
From troubled minds and paints instead
Arosy-tinted day.
God bless the soul with the sunny heart
Who's found in life her place,
And serves her God and fellow man
With humble, gentle grace.
The world has need of such a woman
Who lifts the heart from gloom,
And in lifes barren places plants
Sweet flowers of love to bloom.
She may not serve as some may serve
With fame or high degree...
But her good deeds will ever shine
Throughout eternity
God bless you, my wonderful loving caring wife.
Ok, hubby you made me waterlog my computer! My husband may not have penned these words entirely himself, but they move me anyway. Honey, you always know exactly what to say to make me smile. And whether you penned these words or not you always speak poetry to my heart.
