ReplyDeleteObviously you are not going to convince each other. The problem lies in his needing a logical explanation of God which does not exist. God is not logical, nor can He be explained.
The whole childbirth thing being proof of evolution was a new one for me. Doesn't make sense to me at all. When has cell growth of any kind been evolving? Doesn't evolution require adaptation? A fetus is not adapting to its surroundings, it's just growing. It's like saying if I have a cut on my finger that heals, it's proof of evolution.
I enjoyed following this, Shalene, and agree it's time to quit the bantering back and forth. Thanks for some thought-provoking reading.

ReplyDeleteI read his post as well, and though it's very disturbing, it isn't surprising in the least. Jesus told us we would be persecuted for our beliefs, and I count it a blessing and a compliment that he called me a "text book version of a crazy Christian." That means I am doing what I was called to do. I am not ashamed of what I am. His readers are lost souls, whom we do and should continue to love, not hate. Anger does not benefit us in any way. Not even if it is righteous anger in this instance, which I'm not altogether sure that it is. :) I know you want to protect me, and can't stand it when someone insults me, but I'm really not offended. Don't let it bother you. In fact, the only thing that bothers me about his post, aside from the fact that he is so obvioulsy lost, is that he used my likeness without my permission. But to tell him so would mean commenting, and I'm not going to do that. I love you too, babe. Let it roll off, and turn the other cheek. I hope you have a God blessed day.

ReplyDeleteI still say that you should delete all contact with this person. Contrary to what some may think, I don't think it makes for good reading. This kind of stuff could actually harm a "newbie" Christian, or any Christian for that matter, that isn't grounded in his/her faith as well as you are. Those that come to your blog searching for God might fall to his words instead of yours. Satan is working overtime in this guy.
Yes this is spiritual warfare but I think that we should keep it to the battlefield not the recruitment center. How many recruits would you get if they had to sign up in the fields? None in my opinion. I'm not saying that we should keep this kind of persecution away from new, or soon to be, Christians but they do need to be "trained" in Gods word so that they know how to fight back and not be deceived.
You are providing a wonderful training ground here, I hope you keep it just that.

And so, I used your image from your blog and if you do not agree I cannot say I'm sorry because I answer to nobody... period. Once you upload a image to Blogger (or any internet source) it is now a free use image (unless copyright dictates otherwise). So no, I've used your image (because for most all it's the image of a textbook crazy christian) and I will not remove it just as you have used my e-mails. I'm sorry if you are disappointed but this was the risk you took in defending your mythical god.
In addition, Satan is not working for me... because Satan doesn't exist. If you are really freaked out about newbie coming to my site and I dunno... finding science.
And one last thing, we did not evolve from monkeys (please actually educate yourself sir on science). Monkeys and apes and humans all evolved form the same primate (which has long died out).
And I actually believe that if you are secure in your god, then you really shouldn't delete my posts, or perhaps should keep them up to train other crazy christians how to deal with people like me.

I sure hope that you don't treat other women the way you have been treating my wife. Someday you might say the wrong thing to a man's wife that doesn't have the peace of Christ in him. All I can say is "OUCH", it might hurt a bit.
