I'm a Christ follower, but sometimes I get angry. Sometimes I get really angry! I do know that anger isn't of God, though, unless it's righteous anger; but I can't always say that it mine is. I'm ashamed of that, but I am only human. Back before I was a Christ follower, I listened to heavy metal music when these moods hit me. They seemed to feed my feelings. Now, though, when I feel angry, I've found something that may seem like a bit of an oxymoron: Christian Heay Metal. Yes, you read that right. Christian Heavy Metal. The music is rocking and driving and hard, but the words are God fearing and God loving. I'd like to share one of my favorites with you today. It's songs like these that actually stem my feelings, and yet, still give me the satisfaction of letting go of the anger, in a positive way.

ReplyDeleteHi Rhonda, thanks for stopping by. Now I know where I know you from. Blessings sister, and I hope to see you again soon.
ReplyDeleteShalene,
ReplyDeleteThank you for being honest with yourself and God. Many Christians are not.
I am not going to say I enjoyed the video and music. Because I didn't. I am not into that kind of chaotic stuff.
But, if God uses it to reach out to people and it's what some people need, more power to you.
Have a blessed day in the Lord,
Kimberly
Thank you Kimberly for your comments. I know that many people do not like this type of music. I do not for one moment expect that they will. It is definitely a taste that I acquired as a youngster, but there are definitely others out there like me that can be brought closer to God, even with this kind of music. And I'd like to think that I am nothing, if not honest about my relationship with God. :) Thanks for stopping by, and may God bless you as well.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, Anger and heavy metal! :)
ReplyDeleteI listen to heavy metal when I'm in peace too
I'm a Christian and respect Christianity, but for the same stated reason, I enjoy heavy metal!
ReplyDeleteGreat song! I find so much contemporary Christian music insipid and lacking in heart.
