I got this idea from a devotional I received early Thanksgiving morning. I thought it was such a neat idea, that I decided to make my own. After you've read mine, perhaps you'll try it too. It may not be Thanksgiving Day, anymore, by the time you read this, or try it; but I think that every day is a good time to give thanks. If you do participate with your own acrostic, please do let me know, and I'll be happy to post a link to your as well. Blessing to you!
T-Three Ts: Time, Talent and Treasure: I am thankful for the time God has given me here on earth, the talents He has blessed me with, and the overabundance of treasure that my husband and I are stewards of.
H-Humility: I am thankful that I can see more than just myself as an important part of this world. That I can be a servant with a glad heart, knowing that this is what I was called to do and be.
A-Attitude: I am thankful for the change in attitude that being a Christ follower has caused within me.
N-New Life: I am thankful that being a Christian has given me not only a new life here on Earth, but also a new life in Heaven by being reborn to Him.
K-Kingdom Heir: I am thankful that my Savior has made me a Kingdom Co-heir with Him.
S-Savior: Does this one really need an explanation???
G-Good News: Again, no explanation is needed, but I'll give one anyway. I am more thankful than I can ever express that I have received the Good News of Christ's Salvation of my eternal soul. That God loved me so much that He gave His only begotten son, to die for my sins.
I-Indwelt Spirit: Thank You, Lord, that you sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within me, to guide me in Your Ways.
V-Victory: Victory over death. My earthly body may die, but I will live again with the Lord for eternity. Hallelujah!
I-Innocent Blood: His innocent blood bought me, and for that I can never do enough.
N-Never Go Back: His Divine Love has changed me, and now I can never go back to the person I was before. I cannot turn my back, nor would I want to. Thank You, Lord, for changing me.
G-Gratitude: This last letter says it all, without saying nearly enough! I have such an enormous gratitude for all that has been done for me and through me, I can never say enough.
Blessings to all of you, this Holiday Season.
