In the spirit of thanksgiving, and the coming holiday season, I want to share something that I shared back when I first started this blog. I wanted to share a concept called Paid4U. It is a concept not just based on random acts of kindness, but also on the fact that Jesus paid our debt for us. You can go to the website to learn more about it, but I wanted to share what I know about it with you.
When you participate in this "program" you get these bright green cards, that look a little like business cards. They say Paid4U on them. You can use them whenever you want to pay for something for someone. Say you're in the drive through at Starbucks, and you want to pay for the person's order behind you. You give your money and card to the cashier, and ask them to give the card to the person you've paid for. The person will then likely be compelled to look the information up and perhaps, they will continue the practice. It is designed to introduce or remind others of the debt paid by Jesus. Won't you consider participating? Here is the link. and here's a picture of the cards that you get, to give out, when you anonymously pay someone else's "debt."

Hey, P31 Wannabe woman!
ReplyDeleteCool Blog!
Hey, I think I got you mixed up with another ministry, the proverbs 31woman with Lysa TerKeurst. Have you heard of this one?
Lysa and her husband Art go to my church (www.southbrookchurch.com) and are dear friends of mine.
You might benefit from checking out their stuff at, http://proverbs31.gospelcom.net/
Also, can I ask you a favor?
I'm frustrated with my blog. As a pastor of a large church, I have close to 1,000 readers a day on my blog, but still have a very low authority on Technorati. I want people to see this beyond North Carolina, but I guess I don't know how to get people to link and that seems to be the issue. I mean, I’ve learned that this is because I don’t have enough links to my blog site.
Why does this matter? Because I want to start reaching out to people beyond just the church, and to do that I need to get this blog up higher on the search engines.
I was wondering if you would be willing to put in a link exchange with me at www.robsingleton.net. If so, please send me an email to robtherev@gmail.com showing me where you’ve linked it and I will do the same. I know you will want to make sure we are on the up and up, so please check out our church, www.southbrookchurch.com and my blog to see if you would be comfortable with doing this. I've seen enough and know that I am.
Look forward to hearing from you!
Pastor Rob Singleton
Hello Pastor Rob,
ReplyDeleteYes, I have heard of them. They are great, and in fact, I do visit them on occasion. I get mixed up with them rather often, actually. I can't say that bothers me, because it doesn't at all. :) We're all doing this for His glory, right? Anyway, I have linked to you. I have no problem doing this. Blessings to you.
Hiya Shalene:
ReplyDeleteI'm back from the 'war' zone. :)
This is a simple but wow! what a great idea! Love it. I'm going to spread it around here in my part of the world too with a link to your post.
God bless, and Shalom!
