Hmmm.....Tagged Again

Well it seems I've been tagged again, by my blogging/ cyber friend Robyn over at Overflowing Grace. This time I've been tagged for 6 random facts that are unimportant/ quirky or something else you don't already know about me. This is going to be difficult, I think, since I talk about myself so much, that I don't know if I can come up with six new ones. But I'm going to try. Here are the rules:

The rules for this meme are: (1) Link to the person that tagged you. (2) Post the rules on your blog. (3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself. (4) Tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs. (5) Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.

Ok, here goes:

1. I don't like children. Well, actually, I don't like the way most parents raise their children nowadays (is that really a word?). So I'm very selective of the children I allow at my house. I love my children, and I even like my children, but other people's kids...not so much, usually.

2. I love to play PacMan. I have a plug and play game that I bought myself for Christmas a couple years ago, that I play on my TV at home. I used to have the high score at the arcade near my house when I was 19. :) I don't like the new video games, unless you count the Wii. I plan to get one of those really soon.

3. I have a worm phobia. I don't even like fake worms. I have to have my children sweep all the worms off the walkway, before I'll walk on it, because I can't stand it. One time, my ex husband accidentally dropped some fake worms that he used for fishing on my lap, and I screamed and cried for a good half an hour. I can't even touch "gummy worms" (you know, the candy?)

4. I have TMJ. That is a disorder that causes your tempomandibular jaw joint to become misaligned when you chew gum, eat chewy food, or just get stressed. It's very uncomfortable!! It causes headaches and earaches, and makes a loud POP! when it finally goes back into place. Most of the time, I have to have my chiropractor put it back into place.

5. I've done MANY car repairs all by myself. I've rebuilt a carburetor, replaced hub bearings, done oil changes and tune- ups, and of course changed my own tires and brakes. My mother taught me how to do all of that, so that if I had to, I could do it without a man's help; and wouldn't have to rely on a mechanic, if I didn't have the funds to pay for one. Now I almost never do my own repairs, but most of them, I COULD if I wanted to. I actually enjoy doing them. It gives me a great sense of achievement, though I don't much like getting greasy, dirty.

6. Until I was 25, I never lived in any one place for more than a year and a half. Mostly, I lived in the same town, but never went to the same school for more than 1/2 of two separate school years. I went to two different Kindergartens, 9 different elementary schools from 1st through 6th grade, I did stay at the same junior high school, because it was a magnet school; and I went to 4 different high schools- and I dropped out in my junior year (I went back and got my diploma through adult school, and went to junior college before I actually had a diploma.)

Ok, so there you have it. Six random, weird facts about me, again. :) Hope you didn't mind my completing this meme. I didn't complete the last meme that Robyn sent to me, so I had to make it up to her. :) Thanks Robyn (that was a sincere thank you.) So now I am tagging:

Piper at Bliss In Bloom

Becky at Abba Stories

Kaprice at My Mommy Time Online

Marlo at Joyful Christian Wife

Michael at Mirrors...Reflecting Upon God's Grace

Sue at Praise and Coffee

Thank you to all of you that I've tagged, and if you don't do memes, I can understand that. Also, if you find that you don't have the time to do it, I understand too. But I promise, it really is kind of fun, once you get started. Blessings to you!

There is no "MORE" to this post.

  2. I'm the same about (1)...I've had kids come over and wreck my kids toys and the parents knew that but just shrugged it off as 'eh'...and it's frustrating that we try to teach our children to be polite, productive citizens and yet their playmates are raised the opposite. I heard one mother tell her chld it's okay to be the winner at whatever cost as long as they do that humbly. *Scratch head, still trying to figure that one out* So it's okay for her child to be a bully so long as they say "please?" *Sigh*

Not weird how you are feeling but I think for us to raise morally correct children who will work well with citizen...since we're the "first line of defense" we have to start by being careful who they play with...which is hard and a catch-22 situation sometimes.

*Thumbs up on Pac Man* I cringe at the day when people forget who Pac Man is and yet know who this Halo feller is. Lol

  3. Yay! Thanks, Shalene! That was fun! :-) And I'm with you on PacMan. I have it on my iGoogle homepage. My boys sit next to me and yell "Go! Go! Go!" if I'm about to get eaten.

  5. How funny! I've never thought of that! No wonder I was so insistent about getting a coat with a hood. :-)

  6. I can relate to your problem with worms. You already know how I feel about spiders. Eww..I don't even like typing the word!

I'm really impressed that you can do your own car repairs. Our oil needs changed if you're in the Detroit area anytime soon. :o

    Thanks for playing along!!

  8. That was fun to read! Sorry, but I'm still laughing about the worm phobia : D You are most fortunate you didn't grow up with my brother... he is rather fond of exploiting phobias : P

BTW... I have something for you over at my place, but you'll have to scroll down a post : )

  10. Thanks everyone for your comments. And I'm glad everyone got a laugh out of my phobia! NOT!!

Chris, that depends. Are you a good parent, and are your kids good kids? Or are they bullies, or brats? Also, I don't think I'll be in Florida anytime soon. So the chances of you sending them by plane to me are pretty slim (I'm in California.) :) Blessings to you!
