The video project (from which the trailer is taken) is for the California Mission Offering, which is a means to help support Missions in California. Now before you ask if there is such a large need for this, please do watch the video. Daniel Rhoten wrote the screenplay, and directed, edited and even did much of the footage. The original music is by Paul Haugen (of Clovis Hills...the church I attend and love) and I play an overly ambitious wife, on the verge of divorce. My character's husband (also played by Alvin- a Clovis Hills member) is an alcoholic; and I need to learn to put God first and my marriage second... above my career. Please watch, and then go give these other people some mad props, for all their hard work, would you? (And just in case you were wondering: NO, Clovis Hills was not involved in the production of this video, except as I stated above. Clovis Hills as a whole has just been blessed with some really good talent... I count it pure blessing to be counted among the members...) :) So without further ado, here is the trailer...

The full version of the video should be finished and ready for release next week some time... You can also find some photo shots for the promo materials at this link, if you so desire... I won't be hurt if you don't go see... but Daniel might like to know how good a job he did... :)

Shalene, that was great! Praise the Lord!
ReplyDeleteHi Shalene!
ReplyDeleteI just saw the trailer. Good job!! I've told you this before, but I'm so thrilled for you! I haven't shown Ebony yet, but she thought that it was too cool that you were doing this.
God bless! Love you!
Hannah
That looks GOOD!
ReplyDeleteIt might be something that I'd love to catch, and probably cry at (I'm a softie in reality, ha ha!).
Say, can I have an autograph before I need to jostle with the crowds? ;)
God bless, and Shalom!
Congratulations, Shalene! And great work :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an exciting way to be involved in ministry!
BTW - I've been thinking about you and praying for you a lot lately -- hope you and your family are doing well.
Hugs,
~Michelle
Kimberly, thanks so much... I think all the actors and the director and the film crew... everyone was just so great... I would think this without my presence in it... it is definitely something to glorify God... I was honored to be a part of it...Praise the Lord, indeed!!! Blessings, sister..
ReplyDeleteHannah,
Hi My PPF, thanks for the compliments, but all glory to Him... He gave me the talent to use for His glory and His alone... I'm just blessed that He gave me the passion to go along with it... I had so much fun doing this... tell Ebony and everyone else too I said hello, and give the baby a big ol' kiss for me, on all his little toes... :) Love you, my PPF!
Isiah, very funny... somehow I don't think a Mission and Offering short is gonna put anyone into the Big Time, even if that's where I intended to go (and I don't.) :) Thanks for the compliments though, you silly man...
Michelle, thanks sweetie... I appreciate your compliments and your warm thoughts, and especially your prayers... God must have put us on your heart for a reason... but your prayers have helped I'm sure. We're not going through anything that every Christian family doesn't go through, but prayers of anyone and everyone that cares is certainly welcome... Thanks, my friend... Blessings and I'll try to come see your blog sometime soon.
Now, I'm off to see if the full length vid is ready yet... Blessings to all of you!!!!
