Who I Look Like
I know I am a child of God. So that heritage is a given now. However, throughout my lifetime, I have been compared to and been told I look like a number of celebrities. When I was a child, I was told I looked like Brooke Shields. I think it was because of my nice bushy eyebrows. (I can never seem to keep up on the tweezing!) When I was a teen/ young adult, I was told that I looked like Julia Roberts. This one was because of my height, hair color, and the fact that she and I had the same big, curly hair. The last celebrity I was told I looked like was on my honeymoon, a waiter at the airport said I looked like Geena Davis. "But not when she was chubby. More like from that spy movie she just did." (This was the movie "The Long Kiss Goodbye")
I don't think I look like any of them anymore, and when we still had cable, every once in awhile I would watch "Look Alike" and wondered, if I auditioned for it, who would I be a look alike for?
So because I was really curious, I found this look alike generator. Guess who it said I look like??? Come on, guess!
Ok, I'm stoked, so I'll tell you. The first one that popped up was Grace Kelly!!! Woo Hoo! I think I'm gorgeous now!!! I'm not thrilled about a couple of them that they say I look like, but who knows, maybe I do look like them. I'll just ignore those and go with the really beautiful people. :) Take a look below, and tell me which one you think fits the best.

And check this out!!! Too cool!!!

7 More Weird Facts About Me
As though yesterday's weird facts weren't enough, I did get "officially" tagged after I wrote them. So here I go again, in the spirit of actually taking part in the meme. BusyDad tagged me for this one. Thanks BusyDad. :)I'm not sure these will be particularly insightful, or inspiring, but since I have blogger's block right now (actually I think I have too many ideas of what to blog about, so none of them will fully form) I'll just go with it.
1. I can touch the tip of my nose with my tongue. Incidentally, all my children can too, and in fact my son can place his almost on top of his nose. They like to tease me and pretend to pick their noses with it. So gross!!
2. For my height, I have tiny hands and feet. My 11 year old and 14 year old's hands are already bigger than mine. (Maybe the tiny feet are why I'm so clumsy. See this post.
3. I cannot touch, smell, or eat mushrooms without being sick. I ate your everyday lawn variety when I was 3 and had to have my stomach pumped. However, they do have their own antidote. Yep, you guessed it. They make you puke. However, I didn't allow myself to get sick, when I first felt like I needed to, so I managed to digest them much more than one would normally do. Please, please, do not EVER allow your kids to pretend that "toadstools" are cookies. They just might eat them!
4. I cannot cross my eyes. When I try, only my right eye crosses. It looks VERY funny! If I cover my right eye, I can get the left one to do it, but the effect is surely lost, if you try to cross your eyes at something and have to cover one eye. :)
5. I am allergic to all metals. I have my ears pierced three times in each ear, but cannot wear earrings, because my ears swell up and become infected. I once tried to get my belly button pierced, forgetting about the fact that I am allergic, and while it didn't get infected from germs, it did swell up and get very sore, from the metal. As soon as I remembered about this stupid allergy, I removed the piercing, and healed almost immediately. Even the rings on my fingers (my wedding ring and a Mother's ring) have caused calluses to form under them from ecsema breakouts under them. This is the only reason I can still wear them.
6. I am the only person in my family with brown eyes. Even in my original nuclear family, I was the only one with brown eyes. My 4 children all have blue eyes of varying shades, and my husband has light green eyes. My father and biological sister have blue eyes, and my mother had hazel eyes (they were not blue. Hazel eyes are actually a greenish color with copper colored flakes in them. Look up the definition of "hazel" if you don't believe me. If you have blue eyes of any shade they are NOT hazel.) Anyway, I know this is not supposed to be possible, based on how genetics are supposed to work, but I know for a fact that both my parents ARE my biological parents. I'm just a freak that way.
7. When I curl my toes, my pinky toes will not curl, unless I REALLY concentrate on them. They stay pointing straight up, and out (you know like in those pictures you see of people's pinkies when they drink tea?)
And just for the fun of it, I'll add one more.
8. Eating meat (mainly chicken or pork) makes me sick to my stomach if I eat very much of it, but since I just LOOOOVVVEEE the taste of a good Rib-Eye, I eat it anyway.
Ok, now I've shared much more about myself than you really wanted to know, and I'm done. :) It took me awhile to think of these, so I hope you enjoyed, once again, reading about my freakishness. :) I'm breaking the rules, and I'm not going to tag anyone, because almost all the bloggers I know have either already taken part in this, or they don't do memes. So anyway, blessings to you!

Seven Weird Facts About Me
Ok, well I haven't been officially tagged, but in the spirit of sharing about myself (which you all know I love to do) I am sharing Seven Weird Facts About Myself. Now before I list them, you will notice that the first four point to the fact that I am surely blessed to be alive. Just a little heads up. Have fun reading about what a "freak" I am.
1. When I was born, the doctor pronounced me stillborn, because I would not take my first breath by crying. The nurse saved me though, by sticking a needle into my foot! That is when I screamed out for the first time, and lived to tell about the other weird facts about myself.
2. I hate hospitals! I spent a large portion of my childhood years in them (as you will see in a moment) for one reason or another; and to this day going into one makes me nauseus. I used to vomit when I entered one, regardless of the reason I was there. Thankfully, I have gotten past the actually doing it part.
3. I have had stitches 5 times. Once when I was a year old, and almost bit my tongue completely off. Once when I was 8, and stepped on a large piece of glass buried under sand at the lake. And 3 times related to the birth of three of my children.
4. I have broken and/ or seriously injured most of the bones in my body.
5. I have a heart shaped scar on my right cheek, right next to my mouth, as a result of a burn I received as an infant.
6. I can wiggle my ears.
7. I can use my feet and toes for many of the same things I use my hands for. They work almost as well, for all of them.
I hope you have enjoyed reading about the weird facts about me. Yes, I am a freak, and proud of it. :) Surprisingly, you'd think I would have known much earlier that God had great things planned for me, if I would have looked back on my life, and thought about how often He had saved me from myself. :) Blessings to you!

4. I have broken and/ or seriously injured most of the bones in my body.
- My right arm 3 separate times before I was 9.
- My tailbone 3 separate times. Once at age 12, doing gymnastic type stunts on the bars at school. Once at age 14, sliding down the banister of concrete steps, and slipping off the step when I got off. And once at age 26, rollerblading at the coast.
- My left collar bone in a car accident when I was 22.
- All of my toes at various times, either by kicking something (not always accidentally) or by dropping heavy things on them.
- Damaged my neck and back in a series of car accidents in a matter of a couple years (none were my fault, thank you very much.)
5. I have a heart shaped scar on my right cheek, right next to my mouth, as a result of a burn I received as an infant.
