Inviting Persecution by Shalene

"Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:11-12 NKJV

Do I invite persecution, perhaps I do. I won't go into too much detail, but because of the nature of my previous posts (the ones that I have now deleted) I have brought persecution upon myself. Am I upset by this? No, I'm not. I count it all blessing that I am being persecuted, because that then means that I must be doing something to further His kingdom, and something that the deceiver does not want me to do. For the record, I did not delete the posts because of the persecution, but rather for the sake of those souls that may come to my blog seeking Truth. I do not want the content they find here, to in any way cause them to stumble in their search of Him. I had actually discussed this matter with my husband last night, prior to the events I am labeling persecution.

After thinking long and hard about it, and prayer on the same subject, I have determined that there comes a point, when no amount of cajoling, pointing out error, or persuasion will win a person over. Having said that, I felt it was best that I not continue to try to win over the subject of my previous posts, as he was not willing to be won over. It is not our job to convince them of the Truth, but to show them The Way. God cannot be explained with any amount of logic. Hallelujah, Praise Him!
Even so you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, let it be for the edification of the church that you seek to excel. 1 Corinthians 14:12 NKJV
I continue to pray that I will be given the opportunity to use my spiritual gifts to the fullest, so that the church may be edified, and all glory be to Him.

--Lord, I thank you today, that I have been persecuted for my belief in You. I also thank You for the opportunity and the learning experience I was given in this circumstance. I will not give up this race, that You have given to me to run. I will continue to be salt as much as You give me ability to be. I ask for your continued blessing upon me. I ask for the continued wisdom and discernment needed to be a fisher of men. I pray for the hardened hearts to be softened. I pray these things in Jesus' Holy Name, Amen.

Thinking of Girls' Names

Yes, it's a bit early to be thinking of names, I mean, come on! I am only 1 month pregnant, but we're doing it anyway. Then of course there's the fact that I'll probably change my mind 10 times before the baby's born. We already know what we'll name the baby if it's a boy, so no problems there. But a girl, well that's the fun part.

I like unusual names. My husband likes to make up unusual names. So out of the four children we already have, only one has a very common name, and the other three have uncommon, if not unheard of, names. I like it that way, since mine is unusual as well. Here are some of the names that I've come across, and thought I'd put it to you readers. What names do you like? (I'm including what the names mean if I know.)

Aislinn-"a dream, a vision, inspirition"
Quinn- "wise, queen, 5th born"
Aithne-"little fire"
Caoimhe-"gentleness, beauty, grace"
Shyla-"loyal to God, strong"
Ariene-"silvery"

I used to like Rhiannon, until I found out it meant "witch." I'm fond of Celtic, Gaelic, and Welsh names as you can probably tell. If you can think of any other uncommon, pretty girls names that you'd think I'd like, feel free to let me know that too. I'm going to close this post for now, because I'm feeling a little icky today. I pray for all of you, and ask for your prayers as well. May the peace of the Lord be upon you.
